WHITE STUFF!

Yes ...you are right! I said 'White Stuff'! We had a major storm come through (which began on Sunday) ....today we had the 'white stuff' coming down all day!

It's beautiful, but it's early!

There are still Aspen's in my yard with their leaves still attached! I think they were a wee-bit surprised!

And ...one of the garden angel's covered from the cold!

The bird bath is a ring of beauty!

To get a perspective on how much 'white stuff' is in my yard ...you can't see my boots!

Since we stayed in all day ....we did this!

Yummo', warm, fresh from the oven ....Banana Bread!

Some of us though ...are enjoying the winter wonderland!

Today we woke up to this!

And ....of course we had to play in it!

But ....this little guy isn't so sure?

And....these little guys are thinking

"what's that on top of my head?"

And ....the last of the roses are covered in cold!

But ....best of all we finished the morning with this!

Old Man Winter is back! Temperatures have plummeted, the snow is back!

This is what I woke up to this morning!

I was a bit early putting my chair cushions out! I was even silly enough to add the umbrella.

I think these little birdies are wondering where the spring weather went!

One of my doggies is lovin' though!

My little CocoBeanie just got her haircut for summer! A bit premature I think?

We were teased with a touch of spring over the past couple of weeks...never under estimate the power of Old Man Winter!

Gentle Winter Garden

It snowed today, it also snowed on Monday, and it's due to snow Friday...Sunday....& again on Monday! Oh....sooooooo much snow! Some people don't like the snow...they say it's cold, wet and icky! I love the snow...the gentleness of how it falls. How everything becomes soft and quiet. It's beautiful I think!

Look what it's doing today! Just had to post a few pictures of the fantastic snow we are getting today. The weather forecaster's said that the major part of the storm would hit the east side of the mountains and that the Salt Lake Valley would see only minimal rain with some patches of snow. If the following pictures are any indication of what minimal rain, with patches of snow means....I can't imagine what the east side of the mountains are getting!

WINTER HAS ARRIVED!

Well, atleast for a day!

Thought a picture of our local weather would be something to see? This is the second Saturday in a row that we have had winter weather come through. We need the moisture desperately, had a very dry and hot summer. I'm so excited that the fall/winter weather has finally arrived. I love the cold days, when I can put on a fire and sit and watch the snow fall outside. From the looks of the last two weekends, I'm hopeful we will have a wet winter! For all of you who may not live in a cold climate, enjoy the photo. If you happen to be in an area that actually has a winter....this is just a glimpse into what is to come!
