POOR LITTLE BLOG

I have just not been posting!
Poor Little Blog - Very Neglected!
I just feel so overwhelmed these days,
just not getting anything done!
There is so much whirling around
in my BIG FAT HEAD.

Projects that have
been sitting forever-calling out ...
FINISH ME, FINISH ME!!
And, not to mention all the new stuff
that's waiting to be worked on.

I just can't seem to find myself.
I knit!
I crochet!
I quilt!
I embroider!
I do mixed media art!
I'm trying to learn to sketch!
Oh, and I take a bazillion on-line classes
because I want to know everything
about everything!

I cannot focus on just one thing!
Therefore, nothing gets done!
And ....all those new things swirling
in my BIG FAT HEAD ...
NOT GETTING DONE EITHER!

My DH says I over think, says I just
need to devote my time to one thing!
WHAT???? I just can't do that!
But, then again ...I'm not getting anything done
doing it my way!

Another bad habit  ...
always comparing myself to others.
VERY BAD HABIT!

Once you compare
you get very discouraged in your own ability to create!

I've even contemplated just getting
rid of everything in my work studio.
Perhaps turning it into a cozy library;
just to clear my head ...
but wait;
I can't do that because there is
a lot of money sitting in that room!!

What is one to do when everything is just
swirling and nothing is getting done??

CUPCAKES!!

Oh, for the love of
CUPCAKES!!
My daughter works
part time while she
is attending college.
She is known at work as
the 'Baking Queen'.

Over the weekend we
found a wonderful new
toy ...
'BABY CAKES'
Cupcake Maker

It's the cutest little baker.
It makes miniature cupcakes
in 5 minutes ....
yep, FIVE MINUTES!

They are perfect everytime.
No hot oven to turn on,
no guessing if they are done,
PERFECT every time.

Oh, the things she is thinking
of making ...you can even
use pie crust and fruit filling
to make itty bitty pies!
Her next venture is the
'BABYCAKES'
Cake Pops!!!
Look out baking world ...
a WILD BAKER IS ON THE LOOSE!!

I'm kinda thinking I want to
add ...
'BABYCAKES'
Whoopie Pie!!!

I've been wanting a
FlutterNutter Whoopie Pie!!!

I'M A CRAFTREPENUER!

It's been awhile!

I haven't blogged in such a long time.
I've been trying to find a new direction,
a new look, new content for my blog.

While taking my hiatus to find my new self;
it dawned on me I don't need to find
a new me!

I am a craftrepenuer!
I love to knit, crochet, sew and
dabble in mixed media art and
paper crafts.

I don't need to change, I don't
need to focus on just one aspect of art!
Is there just one aspect of your life that you focus on?

NO!

So, I will continue to share my
artsy craftsy self on this blog...
and, I hope you enjoy that!

BRAIN LOCK DOWN

If you could see in my brain
right now ...this is what
you would see ....

A really big mess!

I'm sure I'm not the only one out there
that feels this way!
My brain is so overloaded with
this and that ...
I can't get any of it out ...
it just stays in my head and
accumulates!

and ...it sorta feels like this!

It kinda feels like I need
file folders in my brain to
keep everything in order!
Like little compartments
all lined up!

 I AM OFFICIALLY ON
CREATIVE LOCK DOWN!

But .... I'm going to
try really hard ....

to get things all lined up
and organized in my brain!!!

Like little compartments
with everything in it's place!

A FUN, FUN DAY!

While the football games went on and on yesterday!
My daughter and I baked a cake!

 First you gather the ingredients!

Lots of painter's tape!

Then you bake!

Then you put the layers together!

Then you start to decorate!

And, decorate a bit more!

Until you have put just the right amount
of decorations on it!

Then you wrap it up and you
have a beautifully decorated
diaper cake for the mom-to-be!

SAVE THE CHILDREN - CAPS FOR GOOD

LEARN MORE HERE!

In many developing countries, something as
simple as a knit or crocheted cap can help
the baby keep warm, which is key to helping
newborns survive.
Nearly 4 million babies die each year in their
first month of life - half within their first 24 hours
- mostly from preventable or treatable causes.
But by giving mothers and caregivers a package
of simple tools, including guidance on healthy
newborn care practices, the majority of these
deaths could be prevented. Items crucial to saving
more babies’ lives include:
  • antibiotics to treat infection
  •  immunizations against tetanus
  •  skilled birth attendants at every birth
  • • counseling on breastfeeding
  • • information on basic newborn care such
  • as keeping the cord clean and keeping the baby warm
This is where you can help by making a cap!
Your caps will be sent to Save the Children’s
newborn health programs in Africa, Asia
and Latin America. Visit
CAPS FOR GOOD
to see stories about how caps like yours
are making a difference in the lives of mothers
and children around the world.

So, how about it?
Will you help to
save a little baby's life?
(DEADLINE FOR MAILING IS FEBRUARY 28, 2011

that a very close and dear friend

a friend who lived in my heart!

has happened and to reevaluate what is
truly important in my life!
