Ms. Debbie Macomber visited the yarn shop this week. It was an exciting event and the meet and greet was the highlight of her visit. There were about 20 individuals who got to personnally meet with Ms. Macomber and we listened to her storytelling for well over an hour. It was fascinating. She told wonderful stories about her life and her writings. She also talked about her family and her life in Washington. Did you know that her office is located in a turret of her home? And, that the walls of the stairway leading up to her turret are filled with autographs of authors who have come before her. She said that she had such autographs as Hemmingway and Pearl S. Buck. How inspiring that must be to look at those magnificent signatures of such famed artist. Spending time with Ms. Macomber was uplifting and inspiring. I was just amazed at all that she has actually written. Most of my collection of her writing only include the Blossom Street series.
We all left a little wiser and happier after Debbie Macomber's visit.
A close up of the pattern. It really came out very nice, I think! This pattern was a free gift that Debbie gave to those who visited her at 'The Wool Cabin'.
